Description Only 2 men of HMS Blonde received this clasp. Robert Crabb, Royal Navy, Born in Leith, Scotland c.1780. First traced on the ship’s muster rolls for HMS Blonde which he entered on 1 Oct 1798 Crabb is described as 18 years old and rated as an Ordinary Seaman1 He had signed up for Allotment payments2 of 11sh/8d, to be made on 24 Jun 1798 [During his period of service with HMS Blonde Crabb took part in activities on Aboukir Bay between 8 Mar-2 Sep 1801, where the ship was used for loading troops and equipment, and patrolling; he later received the Naval General Service medal with the Egypt bar.
